Emmanuelle Godeau is a Lecturer-researcher at EHESP School of Public Health, serving as Deputy Director of the Department of Human and Social Sciences and coordinating the statutory 16-week training program for doctors in national education. She leads France's participation in the WHO's Health Behaviour in School-Aged Children (HBSC) survey.
Education:
- Medical Doctorate (1990) from Toulouse on youth health behaviors and AIDS prevention among students.
- Doctorate in Anthropology (2004) from EHESS on symbolic construction in medical training, published by Maison des sciences de l'Homme (2007).
- Habilitation (HDR) in Public Health (2013).
Research Interests: Godeau specializes in adolescent health determinants, with emphasis on disability inclusion, risky behaviors, and school health systems. Her work transforms HBSC data into national health management tools through collaborations with INSERM and Public Health France, culminating in the integrated EnCLASS survey for monitoring youth substance use initiation.
Advising and Grants: She develops statutory training for national education doctors while securing research partnerships with INSERM, Public Health France, and the French Observatory for Drugs and Drug Addiction to fund projects on disability representations and student harassment.
Research Groups: Active in the Research Collective on Disability, Autonomy, Inclusive Society (CoRHASI) and formerly with UMR Inserm 1027's perinatal epidemiology team since 2000.
