Emmanuel Otoo

Emmanuel Otoo serves as a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the University of the West of England within the Department of Occupational Science and Therapy, bringing over five years of combined experience in higher education and clinical practice with a focus on creating inclusive learning environments.

His research centers on disability inclusivity, rehabilitation methodologies, environmental adaptations, assistive technology development, and occupational justice frameworks. These interconnected fields drive his mission to advance occupational therapy practices that empower individuals with disabilities through societal participation, accessibility improvements, and stigma reduction while emphasizing real-world clinical applicability.

Professionally active in global occupational therapy communities, he holds dual memberships in the Occupational Therapy Association of Ghana (OTAG) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), currently serving as General Secretary of OTAG to advance therapeutic practice and research development across Ghana.
