Emmanuel Mignot

Emmanuel Mignot is a Lecturer at INSA Lyon since 2009, specializing in Fluid Mechanics within the Mechanical Engineering department. He conducts research at the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics (LMFA, UMR5509), a joint research unit affiliated with INSA Lyon, École Centrale de Lyon, and Claude Bernard University Lyon 1.

His research focuses on urban flooding, lateral cavities, emerging obstacles, free-surface flow intersections, mixing layers in shallow flow, flow and material transport in bifurcations, and dispersion of pollutants in rivers. His work combines experimental approaches at the LMFA in Lyon and at INRAE Lyon, with applications to real-world urban flooding scenarios and river systems.
