Emmanuel Babatunde is a Professor in the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department at Lincoln University, PA. He has held leadership roles as Department Chair (2009–present) and former Director of the Honors Program for Talented Students (1993–2006). With post-doctoral fellowships from Sasakawa Foundation and AAC&U, and expertise as a Fulbright Senior Program Specialist, his work focuses on globalization, Sub-Sub-Saharan Africa, and leveraging African Diaspora cultures to address social issues like food insecurity and poverty.

His research spans cultural identity, Black male development, and agro-ecosystem management. He founded the Institute of Rites of Passage, Science and Technology and the Black Male Task Force at Lincoln University.

- Principal Investigator for USAID-funded projects totaling $26.1 million (2011–2015)
Dr. Babatunde serves on Lincoln University's Board of Trustees and the Center of Excellence in Minority Health Advisory Board at Jackson State University.
