Dr. Emma Xue is a Lecturer in Computing at Macquarie University's School of Computing (since 2023). She holds PhDs in Software Engineering (UTS, 2019) and Information Management (Shanghai University, 2018). Previously, she worked as a Lecturer at the University of Wollongong (2022) and conducted postdoctoral research at Macquarie University and CSIRO Data61 (2019–2022). Her research focuses on deep learning, adaptive AI, data mining, and social network analytics, with publications in top venues like NeurIPS, IJCAI, and IEEE Transactions. She actively collaborates with industry and has received awards including the Most Influential IJCAI2020 Paper Award and a Top 200 Global Young Researcher recognition (2022).
Her current projects include Next-Gen Banking solutions with generative AI, graph-based rescue simulations, and fraud detection frameworks. She supervises students in graph analytics and deep learning. Professional service includes roles as general session chair at IJCNN and conference committee member at AAAI and KDD.
