Emma Soutar is a Lecturer and Training Officer at the Centre for Child Protection, University of Kent. With over 20 years of experience in the voluntary and education sectors, she specializes in child protection frameworks, focusing on grooming, child sexual exploitation (CSE), radicalisation, and vulnerable populations. She develops interactive training tools like Looking out for Lottie and Behind Closed Doors, addressing safeguarding issues in gangs, knife crime, and extremist recruitment. As an educator on FutureLearn's MOOC on communication with vulnerable children, she also contributed to the Erasmus-funded Family on the Move e-learning resource.
