Emma Sholl is a Lecturer in Flute at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney) since 2014. She is internationally recognized as a flautist, holding positions such as Associate Principal Flute with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Guest Principal Flute with orchestras like the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra. Her career spans solo performances, chamber collaborations, and recordings, including works with Angela Hewitt and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. She has premiered compositions like George Palmer’s double concerto and performed globally in venues like Moscow’s World Orchestra for Peace.
Education and Awards: Awarded numerous accolades including the 2MBS Young Performer of the Year (1997) and National Solo Flute Competition (2002). She studied in Geneva under Jacques Zoon with scholarships from the Martin Bequest and Dorothy Fraser.
