Emma López Bahut

Emma López Bahut is a researcher and educator at the School of Architecture, University of A Coruña (UDC), Spain, where she has taught Architectural Design since 2009 across undergraduate, master's, and PhD programs. She served as Visiting Faculty at Kent State University (USA) in 2017-2018 under a UDC research grant and participated in ERASMUS+ Higher Education Mobility teaching missions in Poland, Cyprus, Romania, and Germany between 2015-2018.

Her research focuses on Space, Art, and Architecture through the lens of sculptor Jorge Oteiza, and bottom-up processes in architecture across spatial scales from landscape to housing. Her book on Oteiza's architectural contributions received notable recognition, including a Premis FAD Pensament i Crítica nomination (2017) and inclusion in the IV Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (2018).
