Dr. Emma Lundberg is an Associate Professor of Bioengineering and Pathology at Stanford University, with a concurrent Professorship at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Her research integrates bioimaging, proteomics, and artificial intelligence to create comprehensive spatiotemporal proteome models of human cells.
Dr. Lundberg holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from KTH and has pioneered the creation of the Cell Atlas and Subcellular Atlas sections of the Human Protein Atlas. She serves on multiple scientific advisory boards, including the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry.
Her work in spatial proteomics and AI-driven cellular modeling has produced groundbreaking multimodal cell maps and virtual cell simulations. She leads the Lundberg Lab, which maintains collaborative sites in both Stanford and Stockholm, focusing on open science and citizen science initiatives.
