معرفی
Vaishali Adya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Quantum and Nanophysics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She specializes in quantum optics, gravitational wave detection, and integrated photonics. Her research focuses on developing squeezed light sources for advanced detectors like the Einstein Telescope and NEMO, with applications in quantum communication and biosensing. She leads the SQuiCS research group, supported by grants from the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT) and the Swedish Research Council.
Adya holds a PhD from the Albert Einstein Institute (2018) and has contributed to LIGO since 2013. She served as deputy leader of Sweden's National Quantum Communication Infrastructure and chairs EDU-WACQT/EDI-WACQT committees promoting quantum education and inclusivity. Her work includes optical modeling for gravitational wave detectors and quantum-enhanced interferometry techniques.
- Education: PhD in Gravitational Physics (AEI, 2018)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship: Australian National University (squeezed light technology)
- Professional Roles: Course responsible for Quantum Technology (SK2903), examiner for Degree Projects, teacher in Experimental Physics
Research interests include nonlinear optics, integrated photonics, and squeezing-based quantum technologies. Her awards include the Göran Gustafsson Prize for Young Researchers (2022).
Grants and funding: WACQT Starting Grant, Swedish Research Council, Göran Gustafsson Foundation.
