Dr. Emma Kathryn Groves is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Southwestern University in 2017, a Master of Science in Mathematics from North Carolina State University in 2019, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics with a minor in Operations Research from North Carolina State University in 2023. Her research focuses on Leibniz algebras, subinvariance, and ascendancy, extending concepts from Lie algebra theory. She also contributes to applied mathematics through epidemiological modeling, particularly in cholera transmission dynamics.
Publications: Her work includes studies on Leibniz algebra properties (2024) and mathematical models of cholera transmission (2019), reflecting interdisciplinary interests in algebra and public health.
