Emma Harrison

Emma Harrison is a Senior Lecturer in Careers and Guidance at Canterbury Christ Church University. She leads and teaches on the Postgraduate Diploma in Career Development and across all levels of the BA (Hons) Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring program. From 2019 to August 2023, she served as Course Director for the Education Foundation Year, where she co-designed and validated the new Arts, Humanities and Education Foundation Year launched in September 2023. She holds an MSc in Coaching from the University of East London.

Her research focuses on feminist perspectives in career development, with emphasis on amplifying marginalized voices and addressing systemic oppression and inequality. She is currently pursuing a PhD examining feminism's role in careers practice. Additional research explores power dynamics, diversity, and ethical considerations in helping relationships across counselling, coaching, and mentoring contexts.
