Emma Gran serves as a full-time Teaching Instructor at Marquette University's Diederich College of Communication, where she teaches core communication courses including Professional Public Speaking, Public Speaking and Argumentation, and Theories in Communication Studies. She actively contributes to the college's mission of holistic Jesuit education through student-centered pedagogy.
Her educational foundation includes:
- M.A. in Communication, Marquette University (2025)
- B.A. in Journalism and Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2022)
Her research and teaching interests emphasize practical communication skill development within evolving media landscapes. She focuses on argumentation frameworks, public speaking pedagogy, and integrating communication theory with professional practice. Her work bridges journalism principles with contemporary political discourse analysis, reflecting her dual undergraduate background.
Prior to her faculty appointment, Gran served as the college's Student Success Advisor and Records Coordinator, where she strengthened advising systems and undergraduate achievement pathways.
