معرفی
Dr. Emma Beasor is a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow at the Astrophysics Research Institute, Liverpool John Moores University, with future appointment as Senior Lecturer starting 2025. She previously held prestigious fellowships at NSF's NOIRLab (NASA Hubble Fellow 2019-2022) and University of Arizona (Bart J. Bok Fellow 2022-2024).
- PhD in Astrophysics (2015-2019), MPhys (2011-2015) from University of Liverpool
Her research focuses on massive star evolution, particularly red supergiants, combining observational data from JWST/Hubble with theoretical models like MESA. Key questions address mass-loss effects, supernova progenitors, and compact remnant formation.
Her work includes 15 recent publications (2020-2025) analyzing red supergiant mass loss, supernova progenitor identification, and stellar death mechanisms. Articles often employ multi-wavelength observations and computational modeling.
- Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship
- NASA Hubble Fellowship
- Bart J. Bok Fellowship
Grants and awards support her studies on massive star evolution, supernovae, and galactic abundance mapping. She collaborates with institutions like NOIRLab, University of Arizona, and international observatories.
