Associate Professor Emily Stockings is an NHMRC Fellow and Program Lead of 'Smoking, Vaping and Mental Health' at the Matilda Centre, University of Sydney. She holds academic appointments in the Faculty of Medicine and Health. Her work focuses on mental and substance use epidemiology, prevention, and treatment in young people, with a current emphasis on e-cigarette prevention. She leads landmark reviews demonstrating the efficacy of combined depression/anxiety prevention programs and has pioneered research on medicinal cannabis guidelines.
Research interests include e-cigarette use in youth, mental health/substance use epidemiology, smoking cessation in vulnerable populations, and clinical practice improvement. Methodological expertise includes systematic reviews, RCT design, and drug surveillance via data analysis.
