Dr. Emily Sipiorski is an Assistant Professor at Tilburg Law School, specializing in Public Law and Governance at Tilburg University. Her research focuses on international economic law, particularly the intersections of environmental law, human rights, and dispute resolution mechanisms in international jurisprudence. She holds a doctoral degree and has conducted post-doctoral research on global constitutionalism in international economic frameworks.
Her work examines the role of scientific knowledge in legal decision-making and explores systemic integration challenges in transnational legal systems. She teaches courses such as Public International Law and Law and Economic (Dis)Harmony. Emily has been actively involved in academic collaborations, including lectures at Europa-Kolleg Hamburg and participation in conferences addressing climate change, energy law, and legal history of global commons.
Her recent publications analyze pre-investment expenditures in arbitration, post-award remedies, and the impact of scientific inputs on sustainable legal outcomes. She contributes to the Global Law & Governance research project, emphasizing systemic coherence in international law.
