Dr. Emily R. Schumacher is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Her research focuses on historical archaeology within the Atlantic World, examining how physical and cultural landscapes reflect political power, social control, and identity. She specializes in Danish West Indian fortifications, particularly Fort Louise Augusta in St. Croix.
