Emily Puthoff is an Associate Professor in the Art Department at SUNY New Paltz, where she has taught sculpture since 2003. She currently serves as the Sculpture Program Head and contributes to university committees such as Public Art and Graduate Committee in Art.

- MFA in Sculpture from Arizona State University
- BFA in Studio Arts (Sculpture/Printmaking/Drawing) from Ohio University
Her research bridges sculpture and pollinator conservation, co-directing the Hudson Valley Bee Habitat (HVBH), an arts-forward environmental initiative. HVBH received a $100,000 NYS DEC grant for its community-engaged project 'Conserving Pollinators Through The Arts.'
Scientific Awards & Honors include fellowships from NYFA, National Arts Strategies, and the Bronx Museum. She has held residencies at Banff, Sculpture Space, and European Ceramic Work Center.
