Emily Pieters

Emily Pieters is a Studio Tutor at the School of Architecture and Landscape, University of Sheffield, since 2018. She holds a Diploma and MA in Architecture from the University of Cambridge and is a member of the RIBA. Her work focuses on adaptive reuse, participatory processes in public-sector architecture, and sustainable urban design.

Her research interests center on adaptive reuse of neglected buildings, cultural space development, and community-driven architectural projects, particularly in urban regeneration contexts.

Emily serves as Director of Harmony Works, a cultural initiative repurposing a Grade II* building in Sheffield, and contributes to the university's Live Projects program. She has extensive experience in public-sector architectural projects involving complex planning contexts.
