Emily Myers is an Associate Clinical Professor Emerita in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Social Work at Auburn University. She has served in teaching and administrative roles for 21 years, focusing on macro social work with a service-learning emphasis. Her work integrates community engagement in courses addressing aging, addictions, and women's issues. She holds licenses in clinical social work and has led projects enhancing the built environment through a collaborative grant with Auburn’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction.

Her research and outreach span aging, addictions, and community organization. She has presented nationally on dementia caregiving and service learning, collaborating with the School of Nursing. Myers chairs initiatives like revising Auburn’s anti-discrimination policy to include sexual orientation via the Multicultural Diversity Commission and advises the Women’s Resource Center. She also serves as a faculty senator.
Collaborations: Leads a grant with the Building Science Program to improve environments for marginalized communities. Her courses’ student projects have driven organizational and community change.
