Emily Isaacs serves as an Adjunct Professor at Naropa University within the MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, specializing in the Nature-Based Transpersonal Counseling Concentration. With over fifteen years of integrated experience in mental health and wilderness therapy, she bridges clinical practice with outdoor experiential learning.
Education:

- MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University
Her professional focus centers on wilderness therapy applications, drawing from extensive fieldwork with NOLS, Outward Bound, and Open Sky Wilderness Therapy, alongside clinical roles in hospital, crisis, and private practice settings. She emphasizes nature-based interventions for mental health treatment, particularly through adventure therapy frameworks and risk management protocols.
At Naropa, she teaches core courses including "Transitions through the Life Span" and "Risk Management and Adventure Therapy," while serving as a field instructor for Group Process sections. Her prior leadership as Executive Director of Women’s Wilderness for four years informs her community-oriented approach to therapeutic education.
