Emily Hunt is a Lecturer in Speech Pathology at the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Edith Cowan University. Her roles include teaching courses such as SPE1102 Language Across the Lifespan and SPE2205 Speech Pathology Assessment. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Health Promotion (2006) and Health Services Management (2001) from Curtin University and ECU, respectively. Her research focuses on multilingual child language assessment, dynamic assessment methodologies, and improving clinical practices for children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). She has collaborated internationally to address barriers in multilingual DLD service provision and published widely on evidence-based interventions for late talkers. Her work is supported by a PhD scholarship and clinical experience spanning rural/remote settings, private practice, and education sectors.

Her work integrates clinical education and research, with a focus on translational outcomes for multilingual communities. Current projects explore cross-situational statistical learning treatments for late talkers and barriers to DLD diagnosis in multilingual populations.
