معرفی
Dr. Emily Howells is a Senior Research Fellow at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Southern Cross University, based at the National Marine Science Centre in Coffs Harbour. Her research focuses on coral reef ecology and evolution, particularly the impacts of climate warming on reef-building corals.
- Climate change adaptation
- Coral thermal tolerance
- Population genetics and genomics
- Coral symbiosis and reproduction
Her work integrates field ecology, experimental biology, coral husbandry, and genomic analysis to assess coral evolutionary potential. Recent publications highlight thermal tolerance variation, adaptive genetic markers, and environmental drivers in symbiont dynamics. She holds a PhD and BSc (Honours) from James Cook University.
