Emily Hobson-Gallardo is an Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Activities at the University of North Georgia. She previously held faculty positions at Georgia State University, Oglethorpe University, and the University of West Georgia, alongside teaching roles in Fayette County and Marietta City Schools.
- Education: BME in Music Education (Mississippi State University, 2013), MM in Choral Conducting (Georgia State University, 2015), DMA in Choral Conducting (University of Houston, 2022).
Her research focuses on performance practice of Italian convent musicians and rehearsal ownership in choral settings. She has conducted professional ensembles such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Houston Chamber Choir, and presented at the Texas Music Educators Association Conference.
She brings expertise in choral conducting, music education, and voice/piano pedagogy, with a career spanning academic, K-12, and professional choral environments.
