Emily Gillo

Emily Gillo serves as an Instructor/Coordinator in the Department of English at the University of Memphis, concurrently acting as Marketing Manager and Event Coordinator. She oversees the department's website, digital/print marketing materials, and social media management. Her teaching responsibilities include freshman composition and technical communication courses delivered online. Gillo actively participates in academic governance through roles on the English Online Programs Committee and as co-lead for UM3D's AI Community of Practice. Her research critically examines intersections between digital literacy, surveillance studies, and EdTech ethics.
