Emily Downes is a Senior Student Success Tutor (Academic Writing) at Teesside University (TU), part of the Student Learning & Academic Resources (SLAR) team. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Essex (2021), focusing on language and social justice in higher education contexts.
