Emily Denlinger

Emily Denlinger serves as Associate Professor and Area Head of Digital Arts, Photography and New Media in the Department of Art and Design at Southeast Missouri State University since 2009. Her academic leadership spans over 15 years within the institution.

Her educational background includes an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Maryland Institute College of Art and a BFA in 2D Art with Concentration in Photography from Bowling Green State University. Her research explores digital collage, glitch aesthetics, political commentary, and social media artifacts through diverse media including photography, video, and wearable art. Denlinger's work investigates power dynamics, collective memory, and identity through digital manipulation of found media and social platforms.
