Emily Darnell is an Associate Instructor in the English Department at Western Carolina University's College of Arts and Sciences. She holds an MA (2011) and BA in Rhetoric and Composition from Western Carolina University, with a BA in Philosophy and Religion. Her research focuses on visual rhetoric, Appalachian cultural studies, and Beat literature. She teaches second-year composition courses through the Writing, Rhetoric, and Critical Studies program.
