Emily Cheung

Emily Cheung is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), part of the Faculty of Engineering. With over 30 years of experience in Civil and Environmental Engineering, specializing in Construction Engineering and Hydrotechnical Engineering, she has contributed significantly to engineering at UNBC and internationally. Based in Prince George, her career has spanned Mexico, South America, Europe, and Africa. She holds a MASc from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer (PEng), a Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC), and a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers (FCSSE).

Emily Cheung earned a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Her professional credentials include being a Professional Engineer (PEng) and holding fellowships from Engineers Canada (FEC) and the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers (FCSSE).

Her research and expertise span several key areas, including Hydraulics and Environmental Fluid Mechanics, Ethics, Equity and Diversity, Renewable Energy, and Engineering Pedagogy. She is also involved in Energy and Environmental studies, focusing on Natural Hazards, Natural Resources, and Sustainability. Her technical expertise includes Hydrotechnical Engineering, Bridge Design, Hydroelectric Development, and Water Resource Engineering. These areas reflect her commitment to advancing sustainable engineering practices and ethical considerations in the field.

Currently, Emily Cheung is not accepting graduate students. These roles highlight her leadership and dedication to advancing engineering standards and practices.
