Emily C. Taylor

Emily C. Taylor, MPH, is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is nationally recognized for leading Public Health Quality Improvement (QI) collaboratives focused on equity and social justice. In 2013, she founded the nonprofit WISE (Women-Inspired Systems’ Enrichment) to advance QI rooted in equity, community engagement, and leadership development.

• Education: Master of Public Health (MPH) from UNC-Chapel Hill (2007), currently pursuing a doctorate in public health leadership at UNC-Chapel Hill.
• Professional Certifications: Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Improvement Advisor Professional Development Program (2012), Tamarack Institute’s Champions for Change (2013).
• Expertise: Public Health QI, organizational readiness to change, breastfeeding initiatives, donor human milk access, child sexual abuse survivor support.

Her work integrates her experience as a certified childbirth doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), alongside her identity as a feminist and equity advocate.
