Prof. Emel Gönen, M.D., is a faculty member at Koç University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology since 2017. Previously, she worked at Ankara Dışkapı Teaching and Research Hospital (2000-2017) and Ankara Numune Teaching and Research Hospital (1997-2000). She received her medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1984-1991) and completed orthopedic specialization at Ankara Numune Teaching and Research Hospital (1992-1997).

- Developmental hip disorders (dysplasia, Perthes, SCFE)
- Congenital foot deformities (clubfoot, pes planus)
