Emanuele Fino is a Lecturer in Quantitative Research Methods at Queen’s University Belfast’s School of Psychology. Since 2016, he has been engaged in research and teaching across UK institutions, specializing in psychometrics, latent variable modeling, and mental health. His work focuses on the intersection of personality, identity, and psychopathology, employing quantitative methodologies. He supervises BSc, MSc, and PhD students and coordinates the PSY7093 module on research methods.
He is affiliated with the InteRRact Lab, STARC Research Group, ISSID, APE, and EAPP, and serves as a mentor for early-career researchers. He holds editorial roles at Personality and Individual Differences, Current Research in Behavioral Sciences, and BMC Psychology.
His research explores how identity perceptions influence resilience to adversity, scale development, and cross-cultural measure invariance. Recent articles address chemsex-related mental health, social prescribing equity, and dark triad traits’ impact on coping mechanisms.
He actively participates in academic activities, including peer reviews, conferences, and visits to institutions like King’s College London. His contributions align with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to mental health and equity.
