Emanuel Narcis Husu, M.D., is an Assistant Professor at the H. Ben Taub Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He specializes in interventional pain management, addiction medicine, and rehabilitation medicine. His clinical expertise includes vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, spinal cord stimulation, pain management in opioid use disorder, and oncologic pain.
Education: BS from University of California, Irvine (2003); MD from University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson (2011). Completed residencies in PM&R at Thomas Jefferson University and fellowships in Pain Medicine (University of Minnesota) and Addiction Medicine (Loyola University Chicago).
Research focuses on pain medicine and oncology intersections, with publications on spinal injury radiology and targeted therapies for blood cancers like Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia. Recipient of awards including NIDA Young Investigator Award (2020) and AAPM Fellowship Scholarship (2017).
