Donna Huang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine's H. Ben Taub Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and serves as Associate Residency Program Director. She holds a dual appointment at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center's Spinal Cord Injury service. Dr. Huang completed her B.A. at Rice University (2010), M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine (2014), internship at Baylor (2015), residency at Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (2018), and a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Harvard (2019). She is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.
Her research focuses on spinal cord injury rehabilitation, comorbidity assessment, functional outcome prediction, and pandemic-era healthcare access for disabled populations. She employs systematic reviews and clinical epidemiology methods to investigate fracture management, infection risks, and rehabilitation protocols.
Dr. Huang's publications demonstrate consistent focus on spinal cord injury complications and rehabilitation strategies. Recent work addresses COVID-19 impacts on disability care, functional status metrics, and infection management in vulnerable populations.
