Emanuel Fiano

Emanuel Fiano is an Associate Professor of Theology at Fordham University’s Department of Theology. His academic journey includes a Laurea triennale in Religious Studies from Sapienza University of Rome, followed by an MA and PhD in Early Christianity from Duke University. He has held prestigious fellowships at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, CNRS in Paris, and UC Berkeley as a Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellow.

Dr. Fiano’s research focuses on late ancient Christian intellectual history, with particular emphasis on Syriac and Coptic literature, Trinitarian controversies, and the intersection of law and theology in early Christian thought.
