Ema Aleksić serves as an Assistant Professor (Docent) in the Department of Orthodontics at the Dental Faculty in Pančevo, where she has been employed since 2009. Initially appointed as a teaching assistant, she advanced to assistant professor in 2020 after defending her doctoral dissertation on T4K trainer efficacy in early mixed dentition.
Her academic background includes graduating from the Dental Faculty in Pančevo in 2007 (average grade 9.5), completing specialization in Jaw Orthopedics in 2016 with excellent results, and earning her PhD in 2020. She actively participates in all teaching activities for the Orthodontics curriculum.
Dr. Aleksić's research focuses on early orthodontic interventions, particularly T4K trainer applications during mixed dentition phases. With over 20 publications in domestic and international journals and conferences, her work emphasizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She has authored multiple textbooks for the Integrated Academic Studies of Dentistry program and participates in Ministry of Education research projects.
Her professional development includes extensive practical orthodontics training since 2008 and active membership in both the Orthodontic Association and European Orthodontic Association. She has contributed to two national research projects through the Ministry of Education and Science of Serbia and one provincial project through the Secretariat for Higher Education.
