Elżbieta Ratajczyk-Piątkowska

Dr hab. inż. arch. Elżbieta Ratajczyk-Piątkowska is an Associate Professor at the Department of Housing and Architecture of Public Buildings within the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology. Her work focuses on heritage conservation, architectural restoration, and adaptive reuse of historic structures. She also engages in architectural education methodologies and urban revitalization projects.

Her research interests include medieval architecture reconstruction, industrial heritage management, and the interplay between commercial functions and cultural monuments. Notable projects include the revitalization of Gdańsk shipyard areas and the restoration of windows for the Amber Museum in Gdańsk.

Prof. Ratajczyk-Piątkowska has published widely on topics such as master-apprentice pedagogy in architecture education, urban regeneration strategies, and the challenges of commercializing historic sites. She holds 9 professional affiliations and has been involved in 74 teaching activities.
