Robert Hirsch

dr hab. inż. arch. Robert Hirsch is an Associate Professor at the Gdańsk University of Technology's Department of History of Architecture and Conservation of Monuments within the Faculty of Architecture. His work focuses on cultural heritage conservation, modernist architecture history, and urban preservation strategies, particularly in Gdynia and Gdańsk. He has extensively studied Gdynia’s modernist architectural legacy, including its early 20th-century city center nominated for UNESCO World Heritage status.

Research interests include: preservation of modernist buildings and urban complexes, adaptive reuse of historic structures, and the role of local governance in heritage management.
