Elżbieta Ejdys is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Mycology, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Her research focuses on mycology, fungal pathogenicity, and environmental health, with particular emphasis on Candida species, biofilm formation, and yeast contamination in urban and clinical settings.
Recent publications analyze fungicolous fungi in urban vegetation, yeast contamination in window seals, and fungal dynamics in human ontocenoses. Her work spans epidemiological studies of fungal transmission in schools, environmental health risks, and fungal interactions with plants and animals.
With a total ministerial score of 610 and h-index values of 6 (Scopus) and 5 (WoS), her research combines field studies and laboratory analysis of fungal communities in diverse ecosystems. She has contributed to understanding mycobiota in oral cavities, gastrointestinal tracts, and aquatic environments.
