Ely Marceau is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Wollongong and a practicing clinical psychologist at Northfields Psychology Clinic. Her research focuses on improving therapies for complex mental health conditions, including personality disorders and substance use disorders, with an emphasis on early intervention and mechanism-based treatments. She employs neurocognitive assessments, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and psychotherapy process-outcome techniques in her work. Her PhD research contributed to the development of the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) Alcohol and Drug Cognitive Enhancement (ACE) program.
Dr. Marceau’s academic appointment is within the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities. She has received funding support, including an Early Mid-Career Researcher Enabling Grant from the University of Wollongong (2022–2023). Her teaching and supervision roles include mentoring doctoral candidates focusing on topics such as peer support communities and autobiographical memory in borderline personality disorder.

Grants & Advising: Currently supervising two PhD students. Her 2022 grant supported early career research in clinical interventions.
