Elsbeth Veldpape

Elsbeth Veldpape is a Professor at ArtEZ University of the Arts, specializing in Art Education as Critical Tactics. She has been affiliated with ArtEZ since 2007, initially as Head of the Visual Arts and Design Teacher Training program in Arnhem and Zwolle, and later as a researcher and program coordinator for the Master's in Art Education.

Her academic background includes training as an Art Historian at VU Amsterdam and a First Degree in Drawing and Art History at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK). She contributes to national initiatives through her representation of ArtEZ in the

• Kunstvak Docenten Overleg (KVDO)

since 2013.

Research interests focus on

• diversity and inclusivity in art education
• historical developments in visual art teacher training
• critical pedagogy within autonomous art and education
• museum-based learning

. She is currently pursuing a PhD on visual art teacher training in the context of 80 years of art and educational developments.
