Elroy Dimson is a Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School and Chairman of the Centre for Endowment Asset Management (CEAM). He holds a BA from Newcastle University, MCom from Birmingham University, PhD from the University of London, and honorary fellowships from the Institute of Actuaries and CFA Institute. His research focuses on active ownership, long-term investing, and endowment management, with notable contributions to global investment returns analysis. He has advised Norway’s sovereign wealth fund and FTSE Russell, and co-authored influential books like Triumph of the Optimists and Financial Market History.
