Elpida Georgiou

Elpida Georgiou is a Visiting Lecturer at Neapolis University Pafos's Department of Civil Engineering and holds concurrent roles as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at TU Delft (Department of Geoscience and Engineering) and Cyprus University of Technology (Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics). She earned a PhD (201X) from CUT on 'Seismic Retrofitting of RC Frames with RC Infilling,' following a BSc in Civil Engineering (CUT, 2011) and MSc in Earthquake Engineering with Disaster Management (UCL, 2012). Her research focuses on numerical simulations of structural behavior under seismic loads, dowel connections in infill walls, and integrating remote sensing with computational models for building monitoring.

Key technical contributions include developing finite element models calibrated against EU-funded SERIES project data. Research interests span disaster resilience, computational modeling of infrastructure, and innovative monitoring techniques for civil engineering structures.
