Eloi Bellés Boeta

Eloi Bellés Boeta is a Senior Lecturer at the Departament de Filologia Catalana i Lingüística General at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). He holds a BA (2016) and PhD (2022) from the Universitat de Barcelona, recognized with prestigious awards. His research focuses on language ideologies, sociopolitical aspects of Catalan and Spanish, and historical language use. He is affiliated with GRESIB (UIB) and MIRCo (UAM). Previously, he taught at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His work examines language attitudes, toponyms, and public discourse, contributing to understanding language's role in societal dynamics.
