Elly Hol is a Full Professor of 'Glia biology of brain diseases' at Utrecht University and holds a special professorship at the University of Amsterdam. She leads a research group at the UMC Utrecht Brain Center, focusing on glial cells' roles in neurological and psychiatric diseases. Her work spans molecular neurobiology to translational studies using human post-mortem tissue, cell models, and mouse models.
