Elliot Goodenough

Elliot Goodenough, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases & HIV Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. They specialize in HIV/AIDS care, hepatitis C treatment, and primary care for LGBTQ+ and transgender populations, with a focus on addressing health disparities. Dr. Goodenough completed their MD and PhD in Immunology at Jefferson Medical College, and a BA in Urban Studies and Biology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Research interests include HIV pathogenesis, transgender healthcare accessibility, and compassionate care for marginalized communities. They have presented work on healthcare delivery for transgender people of color and co-authored studies on MHC antigen processing. Awards include the Daniel C. Leight MD Award for Social Medicine and Montefiore's Chairman’s Award for Research.
