Elliot Berkman is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Oregon's College of Arts and Sciences, Co-Director of the Center for Translational Neuroscience, and faculty at the Ballmer Institute for Children's Behavioral Health. His research focuses on motivational and cognitive factors influencing health goals (e.g., smoking cessation, dieting) through translational neuroscience approaches using fMRI, longitudinal surveys, and lab experiments. Current projects are funded by the National Cancer Institute and National Institute on Drug Abuse.
