Ellerie Ralston

Elli Ralston is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, since 2018. Her roles include teaching foundational art principles and mentoring graduate students. She holds an M.F.A. in Illustration from SCAD and a B.F.A. in Illustration from the Academy of Art University.

Research interests focus on art education methodologies, contemporary illustration practices, and museum interpretation. She has led initiatives like K-12 art classes at the KAZOOS!! Museum and contributed to exhibitions such as the 2011 PahloArt Gallery Portraits Show. Her work emphasizes accessibility and creative pedagogy in art education.

Elli has published in SCAD’s annual illustration anthologies (2016–2018) and authored Monsters of the Imagination (2018). Her professional experience includes freelance tutoring, docent roles at SCAD’s museum, and directing interactive art programs for children.

Advising focuses on time management and student success strategies. She has organized professional artist collaborations and developed adaptive learning resources for diverse learners.
