Ellen Rosenberg is a Professor of Humanities, Creative Writing, Theatre History, and Dramatic Literature in the Division of Liberal Arts at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). She integrates her expertise in creative process, psychobiography, and gender/ethnic issues into her teaching and professional practice, with a strong focus on Jewish and Yiddish theater traditions.

Her research explores the intersections of ritual in theater, devised performance techniques, and cultural identity, alongside innovative pedagogical approaches that emphasize personal integrity and professional excellence.
