Ellen Powell is a Professor at Durham University in the Probability and Statistics group, holding a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship. Her research focuses on probability theory, particularly random systems at criticality, critical phenomena, scaling limits, random geometry, and branching structures motivated by statistical physics models.
